A final day marked by inspired and inspiring discussions!

After a second day of productive discussion and brainstorming and an evening of enchantment and surprise at the Eco-Sow and International Festival of Environmental Storytelling, delegates will today be hunkering down for the final day of deliberations of the 5th World Environmental Education Congress.

The day’s agenda will feature the continuation of presentations, discussions and workshops on the 12 thematic niches, along with the concluding sessions of the political and NGO forums.

As the afternoon draws to a close, be sure not to miss the closing session of the Congress! Watch at 3:30 p.m. as Richard Desjardins, a Quebec artist actively engaged in environmental causes, is awarded an honorary doctorate from the Université du Québec à Montréal. Then, be sure to stay with us at 4:00 p.m. as we present a wrap-up of the rich discussions that took place throughout the event in each of the 12 thematic niches as they relate to the three cross-cutting questions of the Congress:

  • How can environmental education add meaning to our lives?
  • How can it contribute to social innovation?
  • How can it influence public policy?

To end off the Congress on a high note, we invite you all to join us for a magnificent closing reception at the Montréal Science Centre.
