Presentations

What is the deadline for submissions?The deadline was September 30th, 2008

How long in advance can we withdraw a paper?The Secretariat must be notified immediately of all withdrawals. If presenters are not registered by February 27, their presentations will automatically be removed from the program and all publications.

What are the dimensions for the poster?110 x 110 cm (44 inches x 44 inches)

How much time do we have for the oral presentation?Individual oral presentations are 12 minutes long within a 90-minute session, including other oral presentations and question period.

How much time do we have for the workshops?Workshops are 90 minutes long.

How much time do we have for round tables?Round tables are 40 minutes long.

When will the program be available?You can view the preliminary program online by clicking here.

Can I designate someone else to present my paper?Yes, as long as the Secretariat is informed and the person is registered and paid.

Can I change my presentation date because I can’t get to Montréal before my presentation date? Efforts will be made to accommodate all special scheduling requests however it might not be possible due to logistical conflicts. Please send an email to the secretariat in order to let us know.

Can I add more authors to my paper?Yes, there is no limitation regarding the number of authors.

Do we have to register to present the paper?Yes, before March 1st, 2009, otherwise your presentation will not be confirmed as part of the program.

Is there a special discount if you are presenting a paper?No, all presenters need to pay the normal registration fees.

Are all the presentations on the abstract CD?Abstracts will be published in electronic format with ISBN and deposited at Library and Archives Canada. (Final format to be confirmed.)

When do you need the presentation document to be uploaded for presentation on-site?All oral presentations should be uploaded prior to the congress dates. (Instructions provided to all accepted oral presentations by AVW-TELAV.) Presenters MUST upload their presentation before the the congress. Otherwise, you will have to present yourself at the Speaker Ready room 24 hours before your presentation.

Will you publish Congress Proceedings?No proceedings will be published. A publishers' corner is included in the Exhibition Hall for publishing houses interested in environmental education.

Will the presentations be available online?All the possibilities are actually being discussed, more information will be provided shortly.
